Sudocats is a really nicely made and not that difficult Sudoku that actually does without numbers and, as the name suggests, comes with cute drawn cat pictures.
For a beginner like me, that was probably not the wrong thing, even if I found it much easier with numbers in the end.
Sure, more is always possible, but I think what's on offer is really okay for the price, even if the game won't be the greatest challenge for someone who knows Sudoku.
The game features six 4x4, nine 6x6, and twelve 9x9 puzzles, plus four 6x6 and eight 9x9 extra puzzles, and offers audio and visual error-guides for each puzzle.
As usual with Devcats, there is a lot of information about cats in the game itself, which is provided as the puzzles are solved as the game progresses.
The settings the game has to offer are more than adequate. In addition to changing the colors for the background and the playing area, there are also settings for the music and effect volume, the option to play the game in full screen or window mode and to play with cats or with numbers.
A short introduction to the operation as well as the obligatory gallery and the presentation of the cats are of course not missing either.
At the time of this review, the game still has the status "Profile Features Limited" which means that the game and the achievements, which all work perfectly, are not yet included in the profile statistics and there are currently no trading cards.
MY PROS AND CONS:
✅ Cute drawn cats
✅ Change to numbers possible
✅ Color settings for background and playing field
✅ Audio and visual help in case of an error
❌ nothing
