Hidden Cats in Paris review a very fun puzzle game for under 1 usd

Hidden Cats in Paris is a nice and cheap hidden object game for everyone who enjoys this type of games and of course for cat lovers as well.
As the name of the game already suggests, the cats to be looked for are hidden in the black and white line drawing of the Paris skyline and a total of 106 cats have to be found.

In the beginning, as is so often the case, this is quite easy to do, but the fewer cats left, the more difficult it becomes. I sometimes had the feeling that cats were reappearing in areas where one had already searched. However, I can't say for sure if that's really the case. Maybe I just overlooked it.

In comparison to other hidden object games, the found cat is not just marked in color. To me it looks more like this is being colored with a spray can so that a larger spray spot forms around the found cat, which partly irritated me a bit because at some point you have quite a lot of such spots on the picture. As is often the case, the rest of the image remains in black and white until the end of the game.

The menu is exemplary and offers, in addition to a brief explanation of the controls, keyboard, mouse or controller can be used, the option to set the game, effect and UI volume, to change the resolution and either play the game in the window or play full screen mode. A dark mode is also possible. What I really liked, even if I personally don't like it, is that you can switch on the edge scrolling mode. I personally prefer to click, hold and move the image manually. Still nice that someone offers several options for it. Also available and necessary due to the size of the image is the ability to zoom. I played the game with the mouse, so I can't say how well or how badly it works with the keyboard or the controller.

Of course, there are also achievements that all work perfectly. At the time of the review, the game is still marked "Profile Features Limited" on the store page, which means that the game as such and the achievements have not yet been included in the profile statistics. There are currently no trading cards.

MY PROS AND CONS:

✅ beautifully done
✅ nice background music and effects

❌ I find the marking area a bit too big
